What does this application do?

Merkandow allows the customer to book their preferred service provider in real time. It uses a Google Map to specify the service provider's distance to the customer's current location, reputation, and starting rate through the user's phone. The initial version covers all places in the Philippines.

What is the problem that the app is trying to solve?

Based on my research, electrical and plumbing issues at home are common occurrence in the Philippines. Current strategies available just to seek a reliable skilled worker outside can be time-consuming and costly to low-income families. They may need to go outside to visit a shopping mall, call a friend, or search anywhere on the web. Even if the family finds one, the service provider's quality of work is not guaranteed. With Merkandow skilled service provider application, a client will find a real-time immediate solution where the service provider itself and his details will show up through search and filter.
